Directions to Wolverhampton University and Hotel
Wolverhampton is 15 miles from Birmingham and the closest international airport is Birmingham International (BHX) - it takes about 50 minutes to get from the airport to Wolverhampton. Wolverhampton is about 2 hours from Manchester Airport, about 3 hours from Liverpool Airport, 3.5 hours from London Gatwick and London Heathrow and 4 hours from Luton and Stanstead airports - all by train.
At Birmingham International airport, you will need to go the train station - the route is via a short free SkyRail service. To get to SkyRail, turn left when you get arrivals (i.e., where the people are waiting to meet the flight) and then take an escalator going up – SkyRail is at the top of the escalator on the right. When you get off SkyRail you will be in the train station. At the train station walk straight ahead for 5 minutes until you see ticket windows and a train times board on the right (by Subway). Buy a ticket to Wolverhampton at the windows near the large electronic timetables then catch a train to Wolverhampton directly if one is available (every 30-60 mins) but you can also catch a train to Birmingham New Street station and change there for a Wolverhampton train (every 15 mins).
The Britannia Hotel (if you are staying there) and campus are in the middle of Wolverhampton, near Wolverhampton train station. From Wolverhampton train station, walk out of the station exit and continue straight ahead, over the right hand road/foot bridge. Lichfield Street is almost directly ahead: the large Britannia hotel is on the left of the corner of the street, just 5 minutes' walk from the station on the corner where the first traffic lights are.
To get to the University from the Britannia Hotel, continue up Lichfield street past the hotel and turn right at the traffic lights, then first left and the University main entrance is further down this road (Wulfruna Street) on the right, just opposite the big church in the town centre.
We are in "MI Block" in the main campus, but currently work mainly from homemm so please email for an appointment first.
